Color Detective is an Android app developed by F Studio (7 ha-navi Eshayahu st. Ashdod. Israel). Others apps created by F Studio are: Bucket Ball, Christmas Socks, Pumpkin Ball, Pumpkin Burst, Swipe Spinner.

Color Detective first became available on 14 May 2016. It is estimated that Color Detective has been downloaded between 500 and 1000 times from the Play Store.

Color Detective 1.30 requires the following permissions:

Allows applications to access information about networks.

Allows applications to open network sockets.

Allows an application to see the number being dialed during an outgoing call with the option to redirect the call to a different number or abort the call altogether.

Allows read only access to phone state, including the phone number of the device, current cellular network information, the status of any ongoing calls, and a list of any PhoneAccounts registered on the device.

Allows access to the vibrator.

Allows using PowerManager WakeLocks to keep processor from sleeping or screen from dimming.

Allows an application to write to external storage.
